Waltraut Bergmann

Waltraut Bergmann was born in 1936 in Prussia. As a young girl she had to leave behind her homeland and flee from war, which left a profound and lasting impression on her life. Waltraut Bergmann lived for her family, faith and human values – as a committed nurse and mother of six children. At the age of 65 years she died from cancer. In memory of his mother, her son Andreas Bergmann established the Waltraut-Bergmann-Foundation, dedicated to support and promote future-oriented biomedical research.
